International Cell Phones

If you are working or traveling abroad, you want to be sure you are able to stay in contact by using an international cell phone capable connecting to networks in all countries. All you need is an unlocked cell phone and a SIM card for the local country (or roaming fees will apply if you use your phone from home).

Here are some sources for international cell phones, unlocked so you can use a local SIM card.

If you think the expense or inconvenience of buying an international cell phone is too much, just imagine when you need one and you have to use roaming or have to find a land-line and use a calling card. Better to have an international cell phone that is unlocked and you can use in any country.

If you have an unlocked international cell phone, be sure it's a GSM Tri-Band. These phones work in virtually all countries. Don't get a CDMA phone, that technology is basically limited to North America. Tri-Band unlocked cell phones will work in all European countries, Asian countries, and of course Persian Gulf countries including Dubai.
